Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to examine how the use of long-term care insurance has an impact on the changes of lives among families of in-home service beneficiaries particularly focusing on their labour and leisure activities. To achieve this goals, the data was collected by using qualitative methods such as focus group interviews and in-depth interviews with individuals who are the in-home service beneficiaries residing in Busan, and data analysis was conducted based on the grounded theory of Strauss and Corbin. Through this analytic processes, 18 categories, 33 sub-categories and 92 concepts were identified. The core category was ¡°coping the role of caretaker.¡± Based on this analysis, some suggestions for those family members through expanding the service-using effect were made.
